Hi- I am looking for a shared hosting plan for my website that offers a lot of memory and processing power.
I would go with a dedicated server or virtual dedicated server- but do not want to deal with setting up my own email- php- mysql- etc. servers on it. I want someone else to maintain the platform (with security updates- new versions of php- etc.) so that I can focus my time on development work.
I basically need a shared hosting plan on steroids.
Does anyone know of any good plans like this?
Thanks in advance.
hi....can the uniform server (wamp package) do a better job than configuring php and mysql with IIS to make the web site public if any one has already tried it...thank you.
ok thank you..but what is the difference between the uniform server and the ordinary wamp package..can both of them be used to build a public web server?
hi...i have wamp installed(php + mysql + apache) .. i recently installed IIS ..now php works fine with IIS but not mysql...(depending on a tutoria) i copied some dll files from the php folder to system32- windows and wwwroot directories and set the path in the environment variables to :
C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.5
mysql is not showing in phpinfo() ...any help is appreciated.
I have a DJ site with an html page. E.g housemixes.html.
On this page- I have a list of all my mixes.
I would like to have some kind of active display of information that shows the following activity for Each DJ Mix.
E.g. To record number of downloads for a file? (E.g DJ Mix 1).
and to let visitors rate a file also.
I would like to have some kind of code/script in HTML that somehow updates- next to an image/name of the file.
E.g
DJ Mix 1 (Average rating = 8.5)
DJ Mix 1 (Has been downloaded 323 times).
Is this possible please for someone with no knowledge of Web Design?
I can use Swish Max 2 in a basic manner- and have Dreamweaver CS3 for embedding Flash (swf) files into HTML files to upload to the server.
I have my own server with MySQL installed.
Maybe there is a programme somewhere someone knows of please to make this possible?
Or a service where I pay money to have this done?!
Many thanks for any advice
I want to use the wordpress cms for my website but the wordpress platform and themes are too hard to customise to make the site look the way I want it to look. I heard you can just pull the data you need from the data table in mySQL- how do you pull data from a data table.
Am I better off learning to customise wordpress or learning a bit about php to get the desired effect (the desired effect being a website that doesn t look like a shite wordpress theme)
