I would ve emailed yahoo about this- but couldn t find a support email address. I want to use the latest version of Wordpress and I want to use a PHPBB3 forum on my website- but I only know the username & password for my MySQL Database(s). Both of these softwares require a DSN (or DNS i don t remember what it is) & a database name to install them correctly- and I can t create a new database. I would prefer Yahoo! would update their softwares within the small business control panel- including Wordpress & PHPBB. But- since that seems unlikely- I was wondering if:
-Anyone knew a support email address for Yahoo?
-Anyone knew how I can make a new MySQL database?

I need to migrate a MySQL database from one host to another. If I export the passwords column from my user table- which is stored as BLOB and encrypted using the AES_ENCRYPT function- will that be successful- or does the AES_ENCRYPT vary machine-to-machine?

I guess the real question is- if I pass AES_ENCRYPT("somestring"-"somekey") to MySQL on two different machines- will the result be equal?

I read that mysql should hold links to the images on your filesystem instead of the images themselves. That being said- how would I format something like: C:\pictures\pic1-food-groups.jpg?

Hi- I am looking for a shared hosting plan for my website that offers a lot of memory and processing power.

I would go with a dedicated server or virtual dedicated server- but do not want to deal with setting up my own email- php- mysql- etc. servers on it. I want someone else to maintain the platform (with security updates- new versions of php- etc.) so that I can focus my time on development work.

I basically need a shared hosting plan on steroids.

Does anyone know of any good plans like this?

Thanks in advance.

hi....can the uniform server (wamp package) do a better job than configuring php and mysql with IIS to make the web site public if any one has already tried it...thank you.
ok thank you..but what is the difference between the uniform server and the ordinary wamp package..can both of them be used to build a public web server?

hi...i have wamp installed(php + mysql + apache) .. i recently installed IIS ..now php works fine with IIS but not mysql...(depending on a tutoria) i copied some dll files from the php folder to system32- windows and wwwroot directories and set the path in the environment variables to :

C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.5

mysql is not showing in phpinfo() ...any help is appreciated.
