Hi-

Are there open source Group Collaboration Tools available with similar functionality to Yahoo Groups or Google groups?

I have a client who would like to have a similar system- running directly from their web server- which they could enhance and customise to suit their specific needs. The current server is running on Linux- Apache- MySQL and PHP (LAMP)- so something compatible would be ideal.

I ve done some searching without success and would greatly appreciate any assistance or points in the right direction.

I have done basic webpages like www.bobicefanbase.com- myself using frontpage and uploading ftp. Now I am doing a different webpage and want to use a css style sheet like wordpress or b2evolution.

I have downloaded the file or whatever from b2evolution (tried wordpress too)- I have added the mysql database in my cpanel. However- I do not know where to upload the stuff to show on your webpage. Where do you upload it to? The database?? How do you add your personal stuff once its uploaded?

I need DETAILED instructions on this! I am totally lost 100%!

ok i ve got a simple query thats working great in perl

here it is:

$queryx = "SELECT dl from offset_subscription where cust_id= $id and datediff(NOW()-date) < 30";

ok ive got to perform this in php- i tried:

$queryx = "SELECT dl from offset_subscription where cust_id={$id} and datediff(NOW()-date) < 30";

but no love . .

this query works great in my system- so you can possibly see what the env is like:

$query = "SELECT count(*) from dl_vj_subscription where cust_id={$id}";

its something stupid syntaxically that im doing- please help! thanks in advance . .

is actually my mdoel- that one is working fine- its the one with the datediff in it that wont work . .

I m currently using actionscript 2 and am a beginner at php and want to learn AS3 and integrate php with it at the same time- not sure what sort of projects for yet though!

I am developing an application in VB.net and MySQL which requires font support for indian languages like malayalam. For VB 6.0 there is a softeware named Shree Samhita to manage the same. But for VB.net it is not available. Any idea in this regard? Any software for this?

Hi there! I wonder which installer is better for me? desktop or server version? I m impressed by Ubuntu s live version. I m a normal user of windows XP trying to convert to ubuntu- i occasionally uses MySQL for dbase- dreamweaver/ visual studio for simple web design and does openoffice for report and calculations. I ve a celeron notebook- 1 GB RAM- 40G hard disk. Will those programs work in Ubuntu? also what are the add on codes in ubuntu which i need to support these programs? Thanks!
