I am trying to import a 700 MB SQL dump into mysql service hosted by Yahoo small biz - and a phpmyadmin does not support such large files. And another php scripts fails due to memory limit...I

I dont remeber my MySQL password(or at least it doesnt want to accept the password it mostly likly is...). I un-installed and re-installed MySQL so that i could make a new password. Well- it wants me to type my origanal password to create a new password for the origanal... How do i create a new password???

i ve been trying to use mysqldump but a syntax error 1064 always pops up. I don t think I ve changed my username and my password is password so I ve been putting in the following:

mysqldump -u root -p password -d

But it results in an error. Help anyone?
im using windows. tried installing phpmyadmin- but its a real b*tch.

I m familiar with msconfig on Windows- but how would I go about turning off tasks that startup (such as MySQL) on my Ubuntu box? I used to do MySQL development- but no longer (unless I got some new project based work for it...).
in GNOME it s System --> Preferences or System --> Administration. Is there no command line tool to do this?
@kingcomp- your link is dead...
@Hippie Chick- there doesn t appear to be a webmin package in apt-get- which is what I was going to do. :) I ll look into downloading the tar tomorrow...bed time now.
@X- I think those are programs the user starts. MySQL does not show up under Sessions- but if I log in in verbose mode I see it start up and also if I do ps -A mysql shows up.
@Hippie Chick- Re: EDIT: I do have universe activated and have for over a year.

"user@linux-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get install webmin
[sudo] password for whitdoug:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package webmin is not available- but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing- has been obsoleted- or
is only available from another source
E: Package webmin has no installation candidate

user@linux-laptop:~$ sudo apt-cache search webmin"

that last command returns no results
@Hippie Chick- ok- I used the *.deb from the site- but now I don t know how to access it!
@Hippie Chick- ok- I got webmin install and accessed it via localhost:10000. Now to figure out how to turn things off :)
