I know how to use Joomla! but I`m not sure what MySQL and PHP have to do with Joomla! When I used it- someone helped me install it and helped me convert my html into Joomla! Do I need to know PHP to do that?

I m looking for something to do in the college holidays apart from working- and I ve always been interested in web design- but due to college and work not had any time for it lately.

I would like to learn php and mysql and hopefully code a text based RPG by myself.

Can anyone recommend any good books that I could learn these from? Or websites- however I would rather books as I can read them during my breaks at work etc.

i have tried hundreds of times! WTF?

The simplest thing I need is either a good site where i can see how to make MMO with PHP or atleast a site with random PHP codes for website games...

When i try to connect it gives me the error "Access denied for user root@localhost (Using Password :NO).Please help what can i do?
